One Crazy Night

So as some of you know, my roommate was transferred last Tuesday. Well, Tuesday night a bunch of people gathered in our apartment and totally partied til like 3 in the morning! I don't know how to describe it, but basically everyone was trying to find places that me and Becca could fit into. Haha. So basically we fit into all the cupboards and stuff...it was way fun! Haha.

College is awesome now! My apartment finally feels like home. I feel safe there now. But anyways, here're some pics of how much fun things are! This is basically a typical night here in the dorms.

The last pic is of Andrew...Becca's brother. He's kinda cute, but he doesn't like girls to be all over him so I've backed off...haha. For those of you who've asked for a pic of him, this is the best I could do for now. Maybe later I'll post some better ones. He was taking pics of us being retards one day.

PEEK-A-BOO!

Fun Times!

Wow...it's been awhile! Haha. This is the first chance I've been able to relax all afternoon! Me and Becca were going to go swimming today but she had other stuff to do and I've been sleeping for awhile. I actually did though go across the hall and watched The Young Frankenstein with the girls in 202. It was way fun! Haha. I love that movie!

So college has been a definite adventure. I love the college itself and the classes and the campus. I was worried before I got here about if I'd go to church and whatnot, but pretty much we have more LDS students here than probably even at BYU. No joke! And most of the LDS students go to church EVERY week so it's not really that big of a choice...everyone goes! But it's nice in a way b/c now I'm on my own and nobodys' going to make me go...I have to make that choice. This week (Sunday) will be my first Sunday in church at the singles ward. Last week I needed to go home to regain my sanity and go to Anna's Birthday Bash! (Which by the way, was totally awesome Anna! Thanks for inviting me!) This last weekend me and Cassie also hung out Saturday night. It was totally fun...we cruised around in her jeep (that has a 12 inch lift kit) picking up guys...then her totally hot brother came with us and we went to Shopko and then went home to watch a movie.

The whole roommate situation will hopefully be taken care of by tomorrow. Tonight we're having a meeting with me, my roommate (name has been erased...haha.), Shalyn (the married RA), Ashley (the single RA), and Kathleen (the head of housing over Castilleja). My roommate doesn't realize the seriousness of what she's done and probably never will. To those of us in the apartment, she's 'not really with it'...and 'doesn't have it all "up" there' if you know what i mean. Besides that, she's a pathological liar (yesterday at our apartment meeting many of her lies came out and I almost caught her on it but I figured I want to be safe in my apartment!) and of course, denies that she's ever done any of the stuff that she's done. They don't feel like she can handle having or being a roommate so they want to get her into her own room. As for me, I don't know if I'll get another roommate. I hope not, but at the same time, if she's normal Iwouldn't mind it. Haha.

At our welcome-back BBQ the DJ said that he'd give these two big mugs to the two best air guitarists. Well, me and Becca won them b/c we were the ONLY two air guitarists! Haha. So here we are with our big mugs! Plus there's one of me and my cousin Sarah who occasionally comes up here to visit her sis Annalise and me and our cousin Stevie. The other pics are just of random things...most of my apartment! Haha. I was bored and alone one night...
Love you all! I miss you dearly!
After my first shower in my new apartment!

First Day as a College Student!

Hey guys! Today was the first official day of college. I'm lucky b/c I have a pretty easy schedule for this semester. My hardest class as in studying will be chemistry most likely. But the most grueling will be swimming...no joke! For our midterm we have to swim a half mile. Then for our final we have to swim a mile. I might (no...I will) be exercising (swimming) on a regular basis so that I can actually swim it! I'm going to be in such great shape by the end of this semester! I can't wait! But most of the other people in my class have NO idea how to swim & are afraid of the deep end, so at least I am ahead of some of those guys in that I can swim, just not very well, and I LOVE being in the deep end!

Other than that, I only have one more class to attend for today and I'll be leaving for that in like 20 minutes. That one is chemisry.

College life is GREAT! I love being responsible for myself. Like at home I didn't necessarily do stuff (like keep things clean, etc.), but here I take around 1-2 showers every day and wash my dishes after I use them, fix meals for myself, keep my bedroom clean, and do my own laundry. I have been doing good...I've had some roommate problems but hopefully we'll be fixing those soon. It's challenging, but at the same time it's okay. I know that I'll be able to get through it even if it means going home more often than I thought I would. I'm okay with that though cuz I get to see you guys again!:) It's funny...it's only been like 6 days since I left and I already miss all you guys like crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I'm gonna go and wash the last dish. Oh and I haven't been doing what a lot of college students do...like the easy meals...I actually cook for myself and love it! Today I made a ranch and bacon pasta! YUMMY! It filled me up. Haha.

Okay. I'm coming home this weekend for my best friend's birthday bash party so I'll see you guys on Sunday at church (I'm leaving a little after church to come back) and then over Labor Day weekend I'm coming back (basically the next week) after my church b/c we're all getting sustained a week from this Sunday. I'll be there on Labor Day though so if any of you want to do something, you know my number!:)

One more thing...soooo embarrassing! So I kinda had a shaving accident (wasn't my fault, again with the roommate problem but I'm not gonna go into it so if you wanna know just ask me sometime) last night and my leg was gushing blood. I run out and we're trying to stop the bleeding right as my new bishopric and relief society president walk in. Ya...EMBARRASSING!

Okay, now I really better go! Love you guys!

Move In Day!!!

Hey guys! So as many of you know, today officially marks the first day of me being a college student! Today I moved into Castilleja Hall, met two out of my three roommates, both were totally awesome, and have had mixed emotions about everything, but it all seems to feel right even if it is hard to say goodbye to a good life. There are two sophomores and two freshmen (me and Becca), so at least I wasn't the only freshman!

Hopefully I'll still hear from everyone...I want to hear all of you guys's crazy stories! Haha. Anyways, so my room was on the second floor so as we were moving things in we kept having to go up and down the stairs...my legs are going to be sore for church tomorrow, which reminds me, it's at 9:30 AM!!! I don't think I'm going to be able to wake up that early! Haha. JK. I'll make it to church...I promise!:) So I won't be able to get the internet til probably Monday or Tuesday so this is the last post that I will be able to write for awhile. I don't know how I'm going to make it without the internet!;) JK. I'm actually really excited for this coming school year! There're quite a few HOT guys here and the girls are nice too. Haha. This next week on Monday I have Smart Start (an orientation class for freshmen) and Tuesday I have it too. We just go to workshop type things and meet new people while we do it.

Well, I guess that's it for now. Me and my fam are going to Roy's Pizza for dinner and then we're heading to Wal-Mart for some last minute items (like juice and sugar and stuff), and then I'm headed back to my dorm for my first night in a tiny bed! Haha.

Love you guys!

Night Before

So I'm down here in Ephraim right now in our hotel. Supposedly they had an all year round hot tub, but it's covered wtih a tarp so there's not much I can do. We went to dinner tonight at the Tin Plate Pasta restaurant and met up (unexpectedly) with my cousin Analise. We chatted for awhile and now we're back here. Haha. I'm really bored!!! But at the same time I am totally dreading tomorrow! I don't know what to expect really...and I'm scared. My interview was, I think, really good. If I don't hear from Dave, the pharmacist, soon then I'll call him. I'm just hoping that I can get that job. Anyways, I'm just scared! I pretty much cried myself to sleep last night because I'm not sure if I'm ready for this huge change...but I hope that I am. Well, I'm gonna go and check out the game room. Wish me luck for tomorrow!

Bear Lake Trip!!!

Today for my last Young Women's activity we went to Bear Lake for the day. Ya, we had to do some service projects like cleaning up the parking lots and grass of the resort. But we had so much fun! We got there, did the service project, and then played ultimate frisbee. I think some of the leaders were surprised at how good we were! A lot of us used to go play ultimate frisbee at night at Woodruff Elementary. But after frisbee we ate lunch...and then we went to the pool. We got to use all parts of the resort basically b/c Bro. Hiatt manages it. We dived and sat in the hot pool (me and Fran dried off in the sauna), and then we went to the beach. Of course, we got into a mud fight and some boys I think came out with red marks on their backs b/c it would hit that hard. Our hair was basically plastered with mud...so it was way nice to come home and shower! It was way way fun! But at the end of the day, it was hard to say goodbye to these people who I love. Funny faces! Haha.

I was trying to figure out what to do...

Hair Cut!!!

Today I got my hair cut and colored. The blonde is now officially all out of my hair! It's darker than it usually is, but i basically just thinned it and got bangs. Here are the pics - sorry it took me awhile to get them up. Haha. I'll post them b/c most of you guys won't see me for quite awhile. Sad, but I'm ready. Anyways, TTYL guys!

Shelynne

Here's a shout out to the best friend who was there for me during many years of hard times...Shelynne Wilcox. She's the girl who got me through the hardships of high school! Through calculus, boy troubles, and the time that we thought I had a stroke...this babe was here for me! PLUS - this girl IS getting married first and WILL be buying me dinner b/c of it!:) Thanks for everything Shelynne - you're awesome!

Me being myself...and trying to paint her teeth!!!

Bowling...one of our most fav hobbies at the beginning of senior year

The 'final' goodbye!:( Miss ya babe!

Wow!

So today was my last day of internship at Lee's Pharmacy. While I was there I got a phone call and new voice message. When I was able to finally listen to it...it was Skyline Pharmacy down in Mt. Pleasant calling to schedule an interview with me! I called Dave (the pharmacist) back and he and I chatted for awhile. I have an interview there on Friday evening. So basically I'm moving down there a day early, but oh well! If it means that I get to have a dang good job, I'm all for it!

Last Day of Church

So today was my last day of church as a member of the Woodruff Ward. It was weird because I woke up this morning and it seemed like a regular Sunday. But then as I got to church, I realized just how much I would be missing. I mean, from what I've heard Singles Wards are really really quiet! Haha. What will church be like without screaming babies and teenagers on their cell phones during sacrament meeting? It will definitely be a different experience...but if what Anna says is true...I'll get used to it once i've been there for awhile. I'll miss all the people in Woodruff Ward though. When I lost alot of friends in high school it was the ward friends who were there for me and I'll never forget it or them. Especially to all those teachers (especially sunday school) who me and francini gave a TON of crap to! I apologize from the bottom of my heart!:) We were little brats and totally deserved getting into trouble!

Priceless...

A man was being tailgated by a stressed out woman on a busy boulevard. Suddenly, the light turned yellow, just in front of him. He did the right thing, stopping at the crosswalk, even though he could have beaten the red light by accelerating through the intersection. The tailgating woman was furious and honked her horn, screaming in frustration as she missed her chance to get through the intersection, dropping her cell phone and makeup.

As she was still in mid-rant, she heard a tap on her window and looked up into the face of a very serious state trooper. The trooper ordered her to exit her car with her hands up. He took her to the barracks where she was searched, finger printed, photographed, and placed in a holding cell.

After a couple of hours, a trooper approached the cell and opened the door. She was escorted back to the booking desk where the arresting trooper was waiting with her personal effects. He said, "I'm very sorry for this mistake. You see, I pulled up behind your car while you were blowing your horn, flipping off the guy in front of you, and cussing a blue streak at him. I noticed the 'What Would Jesus Do' bumper sticker, the 'Choose Life' license plate holder, the 'Follow Me to Sunday-School' bumper sticker, and the chrome-plated Christian fish emblem on the trunk. Naturally.....I assumed you had stolen the car."

PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last Day at the good ole' Grist!

I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad about this yet...but I'm done working at Old Grist Mill! It's a way weird feeling to all of a sudden be unemployed. Haha. Hopefully I'll be able to get that job at Skyline Pharmacy but I haven't heard back from them so I hope they didn't already fill the job opening. But I'll definitely miss a lot of the people that work there at Grist, but I am definitely ready to move on! After working there for almost 2 1/2 years...ya...it's time:)

The pics here are just some memories I have working here.
Me and Kellie at Halloween...she was a witch
and I was a beat up basketball player:)

Just a normal Saturday...lots of cookies to bake!

Stupid things keep cutting me!

Fair Time

Around this time of year, I always get a little homesick for the fair. As some of you know, I used to raise pigs and show them in the Jr. Livestock show. It was way fun! I miss doing it sooooo much! Especially when I look at those cute pigs! I know most of you guys probably think of pigs as gross and disgusting, but when you're raised with them as show animals in your backyard, they're just like part of the family! JK. Maybe not that close, but they're great pets (for showing...haha). But I just got back from looking at them (we always go on weigh in day to look at what kind of pigs are there...I know...kinda dorky!), and even though my allergies were kicking in majorly and stuff, I miss showing them and wish now that I would've raised some.

Best Friends!!!

So I just wanted to write a little bit about my best friend in the whole wide world...Anna Swan! The song We're So Far Away on my playlist is dedicated to her. She's the most amazing woman I have ever met! She'll do anything for anyone and enjoys serving those around her. We're just like sisters to each other. I've loved getting to know her over pretty much the past year. It's crazy just how well we get along! I love her to death! We talk about everything and I mean everything! Her and her husband (the guy who never ceases to give me a hard time!) are the greatest to me! I am so glad that we were able to meet (the only reason we met was because I was cut from the high school (LHS) basketball team so I ended up helping her coach YW basketball). She's the most amazing person I've ever met. She treats me like an equal even though she's quite a bit older than me. Not only that, but she's one of the greatest examples to me...I look up to her for just about everything! At girl's camp the only reason I was able to keep going on the swim test and hike was because she was in front of me and she kept going so I was able to keep going because of her. Thanks Anna for everything that you've done for me!! I appreciate everything you do! I am going to miss you soooo much when I move! I love you!

First Post!

Hey guys! This is like my very first post. How crazy is this? JK. So I'm just getting all packed up (well, not so much right now), but I'm starting to. Everything's pretty much ready for me to be shipped off to Snow College. It's coming way too fast for me! Does it seem like it's still supposed to be the beginning of summer vacation for anyone else? Man...Anyways...hope everything's well with y'all! Here are some pics of the lovely Snow College for you guys to look at. ENJOY!
