Quick Update

Hey! Sorry I don't have any pics...but I've just been kinda busy lately. ha. Charlie's getting pretty big...his paws are very large compared to the rest of his body so we know that we're in for a very big dog! But, we're okay with that b/c we're used to big dogs.

So far he's peed many times on the carpet and tile...but luckily that's all he's done in the house. He's pretty good about going to the door when he needs to go, but sometimes we don't catch him in time. ha.

Other than that, he's definitely a little puppy biting everyone and everything. ha. But he's definitely worth it and he definitely fits into our family very well!

New Puppy

I never thought I'd ever be able to say this!!!! I'm (we're) getting a puppy!!!!! Haha. The reason why I said I am getting one is cuz I'm going to be the main one taking care of him. Anyways, he's a mix between an Australian sheepdog and we think a border collie. His name is Charlie...and it totally fits him. He's seriously gotta be one of the cutest puppies alive! I get to pick him up on Thursday from the shelter (we're adopting him). I wish I could've already brought him home...but they have to keep them in 'quarantine' for a week when they're brand new to the shelter...so I've had to wait. Anyways, enjoy the pics! Tell me what you think :)

Random Pics

Hey guys...so I finally was able to hook up my camera card to my computer (after much creative thought...I lost the cord that connects it.) so here are some of the pics of what's been going on throughout the past little while.

This is a pic of the puppy that my sister fostered awhile back. Becca volunteers at the humane shelter twice a week and thought it would be fun to foster this one...Abby. She was cute, but very very playful. haha.

Here are my blessed roommates :) haha. From L-R theres: Rebecca, me, Sunny, and Amy. Sunny is the oriental one (duh) that came halfway through last semester and was put in my room. She was so much fun...and it was funny to try to define slang words! But we were able to teach her lots of English and helped her come out of her shell.

Me and sunny...again. She very rarely smiles for pictures. haha.

A picture of the YW's socks that they wear for every game (basketball and volleyball). So far they haven't lost yet this whole year during the stake season. I ref most of the YW basketball games...and it's fun :)

Potter Puppet Pals

When I was doing my internship at Lee's Pharmacy we had plenty of time on our hands and one of the other techs found this on youtube. It's pretty funny. haha. It's called Potter Puppet Pals and the Mysterious Ticking Noise.

BASKETBALL!!!

Hey guys!!!
It's been awhile...but I thought I'd catch y'all up on my most exciting life!

I took the assessment at BATC and after having to retake the demical part of the test (adding, subtracting, timesing and dividing decimals) I was able to pass all the many different sections! And trust me...there are MANY! ha. It wasn't bad at all...the math was a little tricky b/c it was basic stuff that I've gotten too used to doing on the calculator! haha. But now, if things all work out (which most likely they will) I will start the Medical Assisting program in April! I'm so excited...it'll go by fast. Plus I am looking for a job...and will probably just go back to Grist if I can't find anything else b/c right now not many places are hiring.

To fill up my time, I volunteered to ref the YW's basketball games each weekend. It is so much fun!!! Especially when our girls play! Oh my gosh! So hilarious tonight! ha. I think someone spiked their punch at the temple or something. Anyways, they won!!!!! 26-16 or something like that. They did so amazing - especially since most of our girls are shorter than me (haha). The girls on the other team were quite a bit taller than Woodruff's! Anyways, so apparently I got voted on to plan and host (again) their end of season party. ha. Especially since I have rockband on the big screen (projected onto big sheet). I'm so proud of each of the girls who played there tonight! They worked their butts off and did amazing!!!

Well...not much else going on. Some personal stuff, but other than that my life is pretty boring. ha. If anyone hears of a good job out there that's mostly at nights would you let me know? Once april comes I'll be at school all day every day so I need a job that will accomodate that. Thanks! :)

My Week

Hey y'all! :) Ha. I guess I'm still getting out of my hick habits from Ephraim. Just kidding. So lots of things have happened over the past little while and I would just LOVE to share it with ya! :)

The past little while as my health has picked up, so have my spirits. I got so low on myself. Like it wasn't even funny how low I got. I felt like I had lost all my friends...mainly because back in August I was forced to start a new life. I left all of you behind and moved to Ephraim where, even though I still had contact with people back here, I had to make new friends, get used to a new job, and get used to living on my own. Those friends that I made at college are some of my closest friends and I was greatful to be able to go and visit them last week! It brightened my life so much to be able to see many of the great examples that I was able to live with the past 5 months. Then because of factors I couldn't control, I had to give up that life that I had gotten so comfortable in and get used to living with my parents again.

It's not easy not having people across and down the hallway to be with 24/7. Dorm life was the life...but in my life whenever I get too comfortable with a place, it means that something new is going to start. It's hard, but I'm starting to understand why. In life, you can't just stand still. You've got to constantly be pushing forward, and when you're not able to grow anymore in a certain place, Heavenly Father closes that door, and opens a new door where you can grow more than you ever thought possible!

Anyways, I didn't want to just dwell on that. My health, as I said, has picked up a ton. We found out that all I have is irritable bowel syndrome, which even though it's annoying, I'm already finding I can deal with it easily. I've already gained back about 2 of the 20 pounds that I have lost, and am doing much better. I am very grateful that I got out of that without too much harm done!

So today I was able to meet a new guy. Haha. I was talking to my friend from Snow-Joe-and he asked me if I wanted to meet one of his friends. I said sure, because I honestly didn't think that I'd even be interested. Turns out, this guy can be just as big of a smartalic as I can and makes me laugh so much! I'm only interested in him as a friend, mainly because I don't want to make him not want to go on a mission if we were to get serious. But it's great to I guess just have a guy think you're cute...especially when you're trying to get out of a self-esteem issue rut in your life.

This past Monday I was able to go to the Draper temple open house with my family. I went to another one when I was a little kid, but I never really remembered anything from it. I actually really didn't want to go at first. I guess my 'I don't wanna go to anything church related' attitude had kicked in. But surprisingly, the morning of I was actually really excited to go! It's awesome what having hte spirit back in your life can do for you! Anyways, the temple was amazing! Especially now that I'm getting to be closer to the age that I possibly could be getting married. I mean, it made me realize that even though some of my family can't go through the temple, I want to go because of the beauty and the blessings that come from it! As I walked through each room it was like I could see myself as a bride going through those rooms with my husband, family, and friends. Anyways, it was just an amazing experience to be able to go and do that.

Anyways, so things have definitely picked up! I would've posted a couple pics of things I've done lately, but of course, I lost the thing that connects my camera to my laptop. ha. So I'll post later.

LATER! :)

Update

Sorry guys! i know it's been forever since I've last posted. The sad part is...I don't even remember the last time I was feeling good enough to get on and write about what's been going on in my life lately.

As many of you know by now, I officially (well...not til sometime this week) have withdrawn from Snow. As Stephanie will put it...I'm not dropping out, I'm just transferring schools :) ha. I miss it already...mostly the people there! I've talked to some of my really close friends from down there and they've said that the hallway I was in just isn't the same anymore...it's quiet! Imagine that! Haha. I have a cute image on my myspace page that says "People who don't know me think I'm quiet...people who know me wish I were!" ha. It really describes me I think. The reason why I first decided to withdraw soon after I came home for Christmas break was because I did not want to pay $800 for one semester's books. Then when all my health problems got worse and more serious then I decided I needed to be around 1)people who will take care of me better than I can take care of myself and 2)the doctors that are trying to help me get better.

As far as health problems go...most people know that I have a lot. And that's an understatement. I have lost around 20 pounds over the last 3-4 months. I'm honestly a skeleton. My pelvis sticks out a good inch from my body and I'm all bony...not very comfy for a little baby to cuddle up to (I babysat last night and I think my boniness...I don't htink that's how you spell it...made her not be comfortable). I also lost my appetite completely so I'm struggling just to force myself to eat. If you wanna know details about my endoscopy I had this past week, I'll tell you in person or over email or something...but I don't really wanna post it here...mainly because not everyone wants to know.
Other than that, I'm all moved in with my family...and I'm in the process of finding a good singles ward to go to with younger people...and cute boys! :) haha. I sleep most of the day (somehow my nights and days got mixed up so I'm tired during the day and can't sleep at night), and just feel lazy. I'm not used to not being able to work,be up for too long, etc. I used to be a go-getter...now I'm well...not.

I'm also in need of a job...but that search isn't going too hot. I want to do the Medical Assistant program at BATC so when I go to Snow hopefully I'll be getting anywhere from $800-$1000 refund from what I had already paid for this semester. Especially since I'm going to get a Dr.'s order saying that it's best for me to not be there...if it's a Medical Reason with a dr's signature they'll generally refund money. So if I can get around that in refunds I'll just go to BATC full time and hopefully be able to land myself a job as an MA when I'm done.

I can't wait to go this week to visit my friends at Snow!!!!! I miss 'em all...haha...and all the crazy things we did.

Let's see...I also cut and dyed my hair...it's much darker now. At first I wasn't sure if I would like it much, but the color didn't turn out quite as bad as I thought it would. It looks pretty good now.

Well...that's about it. Not much else new...besides us getting an Xbox 360 for Christmas (we all pooled in our money). Then with my Christmas Bonus and part of that check I bought Rock Band...so since I'm home alone throughout the week I have something to do. ha. I'm getting pretty good...ha. I can play expert on the guitar and hard on the drums. I haven't tried singing much...but that's next on my list :)

Thanks to everyone who has been there for me the past couple weeks...I've definitely need(ed) your support because I've been pretty scared (and still am).

Love you guys!
